Also, you're so lucky that you get to do your own designs and leave an indellible mark on the franchise by changing the way people literally see the character, not just the specific style adapting an old build.
It's so intrepid!TOY NOW!TOY NOW!I've just said want to see the upgrade of Prowl in Coller's DA yesterday. And I got it right now! I love the design!!! I think next Jau, he will be the leading role in the R.I.D.#13!
This bulky version of prowl is awesome. When i got to the last page of that issue i was shocked. If prowl ever became a 'prime' i picture this is what he would look like. I can totally see the matrix behind his chest plate in this version. Anyway, great work on the comic, i really like the path tformers: rid is going right now.
O.O Hell of an upgrade. Nice touch, the sheriff's star on right shoulder ^^ Something that I keep wondering about is the presence of parts looking like cockpits on Cybertronian alt modes. TFs don't need a driver, so what's the use ? Are they visual sensors, like in cartoon where Optimus was shown "seeing" through his windshield, at least needing it clean to be able to move around ?
Something I've always wondered about too. Maybe it leaves open the option of smaller transformers like Rewind or Wheelie driving them?
Other than that, I'd wish it was an indication of my preferred Transformers origin, that they were created by a human-sized forgotten and extinct race, and the Transformers have since gained sentience and developed their own race. But that's not exactly an origin that has been explored much. Just what makes most sense to me, I guess.
Not really sure what the Hasbro-approved explanation is.
Or at least being passengers. Though Chromedome doesn't do a thing to remedy to the situation of him, Ratchet and Rewind having to walk to the launch site in MTMTE#1. Maybe because Rewind is too big already to fit in his cockpit... Interesting theory. Created by a human-sized race, and gained freedom instead of being an evolution of a human-sized race that would have mechanized for some reason. I hope that won't make the Quintessons human-sized if they reveal to be The Ones ^^
I respect your opinion, but I'm not fond of that idea. It falls too much in line with the Brave/Yuusha movement in my mind. What I like in Transformers is precisely how each individual has its flaws and strengthes, and how when in trouble they have to search for solutions by themsleves. Bumblebee in my opinion wouldn't have been so popular among kids, if he had been able to simply connect to a larger mecha to overcome his small size and lack of strength. For the same reason, I like that the concept of combiner is kinda considered "Abnormal" by the rest of Cybertronians (see Omega's reaction to Monstructor) Although there are TFs sharing same body-type and siblings with branched sparks sharing each other's sensations, TFs seem to consider each Cybertronian is unique on his own terms and globally cling to their individuality and self-decision.
Some grand plan of Primus to interact with the smaller squishies of the universe has always been my preferred theory for why Cybertronian alt modes have cockpits. Not everybody likes that theory, of course.
XD Not sure Ratchet would adhere, indeed - atheist as he is. Primus must have facepalmed at how the interaction with humans went bananas :/ humans and pretty much the rest of the universe - from MTMTE annual, seems that to the rest of the Galaxy, the only good Cybertronian is a dead one.
Ha ha, that's what I love about the current books. Ratchet comes across as atheist, but on the other hand he seems to have illogical superstitions like thinking the hands of the best surgeons are "forged", rather than built. Mild hypocrisy like that makes these characters real and enjoyable to me. Good stuff!
Now Prowl can commit horrible atrocities in the name of the greater good in style. Seriously though this is a sweet design. I have to admit I really wasen't feeling Prowl's look in the comic but this new design is really good.
