This is great work! To add to the ongoing comment discussion: The only thing that gives me a last bit of hope is that Prowl still has his Autobot sign. Tho if he was playing double-agent I guess he'd remove it to make it look more authentic...oh i don't know what to think anymore UnU
I find that Prowl's turn has been one of -if not- the most interesting take on the character for a long time now. In IDW he has always been a grey character with AHM 15 (I think it was 15), and in lsotw, and it is amazng to see him actually start to turn black, I know some people don't like that but personally I see it as a very well crafted retcon. Loking back at Prowls dialogue - in ahm 15 especially- he has seemingly been slowly turning to agree with the decepticon cause. Overall Barber and Roberts have both taken a bold move with retconing Shockwave and Prowl which is something I personally would love to see more of.
I agree dude. Im so upset with the direction of both mtmte and rid books. Art on both are awesome. Rid i like better because i like the cast better. But what theyre doing to Prowl is getting me mad. And as for mtmte i feel its non stop quirky jokes and not to be taken seriously. Every character in mtmte i feel has the same personality. Everyone is witty and jokey.
Now, no offense, but how can one think that everyone in MTMTE has the same personality? Ultra Magnus? 'Witty and jokey'? I'd say he's quite the opposite. Would you say that Ratchet and Whirl have same personality? Cyclonus and Tailgate? Brainstorm and First Aid? Really? On the contrary, I see VERY distinct personality traits in each of the members of the cast in MTMTE, and not only that; the writers have made it a point to bring out those traits even more so than in the old ongoing series. As for RiD and the 'killing off' of characters/what was done with Prowl, well--I think issue 14 speaks for itself, eh? But seriously, I think it was obvious enough that there was something going on off-panel that linked all the seemingly 'pointless deaths' of the characters. They couldn't have just been random coincidences, and IDW doesn't just kill off important characters, if you take a look at the series and what they have done in the past, you would see that. Look at Ironhide, Sunstreaker, Rodimus, and Drift just to name a few--all of whom APPEARED to die but either didn't really die or were revived somehow. The characters who actually died and stayed dead (as far as we know) were not ever really major characters, like Ironfist, Rotorstorm, Wing, Blot, Flywheels etc.
So really--in the words of Prowl himself... 'How could you not SEE that?'
Maybe not same personality, but mtmte is all about each bot having one liners. Every bot has a smart ass comment. Every bot seems to have the same sense of humor. It was funny at first, now i feel its not to be taken serious. Even though magnus may not crack jokes, but hes the butt of a lot of jokes. I like idw and the comics. Theyre the only comics i read. Im totally aware that no one stays dead in comics.
At the end of rid 14, the preview for 15 was altered from the preview say a month ago. It read 'megatron is locked in final battle with bumblebee starscream and metalhawk'. Before it read prowl too. Megatron battling all 4 of them. Check it out. Only reason i say this is bc i think idw is just winging this story arc finale. Im going to have to go back and check issue 3 where prowl becomes victim to bombshells bugs. I just dont buy it. I think they got extremely bad feedback from turning prowl a villian. So they had to alter his path. Just like in ongoing 1 where he breaks cover to end up getting captured. A ton of fan feedback followed. Then idw said you will understand in prowl spotlight. The soptlight sucked and didnt explain anything. So anyway, im all about idw tformers. Sometimes i just get confused with how characters are portrayed.
I agree, I am so disappointed with both books. No Optimus, Prowl going traitor, having Jazz not in the book at all, the completely stupid and senseless deaths of mainstream characters like the aerialbots, Bluestreak, Jetfire, Ironhide... It's just really gone from bad to worse.
